Team Flashy
So in my town of Yonkers, NY there’s a group of boys who call themselves Team Flashy. But before I get into them, let me tell you a little bit about the Y.O
1. Yonkers is half urban, half rural so theres quite a bit of racism going about. But most of us are hispanic, like meeee.
2. Everyone here dresses the same, they all wear the same brands in the same way, everyday. Not just clothes but hairstyle, colors, etc.
3. If you dare be different & are very cocky or show-offy about it, prepare to get your life ruined or if youre lucky, get cloned.
And that’s the introduction I wanted for Team Flashy lol
Okay so, as said in #3 they dress pretty…tumblrish.
(This is why I was upset when all of yonkers & their mom got a Tumblr cause now they all want to be hipster =__=)
So they wear bleached jeans & denim vests customized with studs & pins & such. They wear brands like Obey & all those I cant remember right now. You guys know what I’m talking about right? We see this on tumblr all le time. So yeah, you can imagine that.
This morning on Twitter almost everybody seemed to have woken up bored as fuck cause #TeamFlashy was all over my TL. People saying “Theres no point in violating cause they embarrass themselves”. People calling them “gay nobodys” claiming the share clothes, wear mascara & leggings. People pretending to have conversations as if they were members saying “let me borrow your bleach for my jacket” & “let me borrow your cheese grater for my jeans”. I can go on for days.
I don’t know any of them personally but one of the members sits by me in my U.S History class. I admit, he is an attention stealer everytime he walks in but I dont see anything wrong with him dressing as he pleases. Theres nothing wong with designing your own clothes. Or personalizing YOUR things. I myself have made my own shirts & I love em. It’s like you can’t wear something or have something no one else does because then everyone hates you. Sorry for not wanting to look like all you fake ass bitches.
Stop the fucking bullying, man. You’re in high school GROW THE FUCK UP. Be different & if thats not cool enough for you, at least let other people be different in peace.
